Clarkson University is a private university located in rural Potsdam, New York. It was founded in 1896 and has an enrollment of about 3,000 students studying towards bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in each of its schools or institutes: the Institute for A Sustainable Environment, the School of Arts & Sciences, the School of Business and the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering.

Clarkson University was founded in 1896 as a memorial to Thomas S. Clarkson, successful entrepreneur and Northern New York businessman who was also distinguished by a deep and abiding concern for humanity.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students enrolled in 12 to 19 credit hours (inclusive) are designated as full-time students and are charged at the full-time rate. Students exceeding the full-time load of 19 credit hours will be charged at the credit hour rate for each credit hour over 19.

  Dr. David G. Nathan M.D., president emeritus of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, physician-in-chief emeritus at Children's Hospital Boston, and Robert A. He was selected for the $1,000 award by a vote of the full University faculty based on his scholarship and promise of outstanding achievement.
