Colorado State University

Colorado State University is a public institution of higher learning located in Fort Collins, Colorado, in the United States. Colorado State University is the state’s land grant university, and the flagship campus university of the Colorado State University System.
The current enrollment is approximately 27,000 students. The university has approximately 1,400 faculty in eight colleges and 55 academic departments. Bachelor’s degrees are offered in 62 fields of study, with Master’s degrees in 59 fields. Colorado State confers doctoral degrees in 38 fields of study, in addition to a professional degree in veterinary medicine.

  • Summer Parking Lot Closures - Tue, 15 May 2012
    Construction will result in several campus parking lot closures during the summer. The Morgan Library, CSU Health Network and Braiden Hall parking lots, as well as the adjoining portion of South Drive, are now closed and will remain so until further notice.
  • Little Shop of Physics Works With Local Teachers - Tue, 15 May 2012
    Local 4th and 5th grade teachers met with Brian Jones and other members of the Little Shop of Physics program last week to train teachers on science kits developed by CSU students. The kits of science teaching materials include the Little Shop's trademark blend of open-ended, playful exploration.

    The annual Lillian Fountain Smith Nutrition Conference - now in its 33rd year - will provide nutrition educators, health professionals and others interested in nutrition with information on Healthy Aging Through the Life Cycle.

    President Tony Frank awarded the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa, to Dick Monfort in recognition of his significant contributions to Colorado, industry, and higher education. A Colorado native, Monfort is owner/chairman and chief executive officer for the Colorado Rockies.

  • Students & Faculty Receive 'Autism Speaks' Grant - Sat, 28 Apr 2012
    Students and faculty in the colleges of Natural Sciences and Applied Human Sciences offer social skills group therapy for children and college students with autism spectrum disorders. Their work has resulted in a $25,000 grant from Autism Speaks to create similar programs in Northern Colorado.
