Seattle University (SU) is a Jesuit Catholic university located in the First Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, USA.

Seattle University is the largest independent university in the Northwest US, with over 7,500 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs within eight schools, and is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.   Seattle University, founded in 1891, is a Jesuit Catholic university located on 50 acres in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. More than 7,900 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs within eight schools and colleges.

The Fiske Guide to Colleges has named Seattle University as a “Best Buy” school in its 2012 edition. All of the “Best Buy” schools fall into the inexpensive or moderate price category, and most have four- or five-star academics ratings.
